Everton FC have signed forward Calvert-Lewin from Aston Villa, bringing him back to the club's starting line-up.

The 22-year-old has made his debut for the Blues in their last game against Crystal Palace on Tuesday night, scoring a stunning goal in the 88th minute that sent Everton to within just one point of Premier League leaders Manchester City.

Calvert-Lewin is known for his pace and ability to get into the box, but he also showed flashes of creativity in the past few weeks when he scored a brace against Watford in the FA Cup.

He is a versatile player who can play as a striker or at centre-forward, and he will be looking to make an immediate impact for Everton after making his debut.

"I am really excited to be signing with Everton," said Calvert-Lewin. "It feels like a dream come true to finally be playing for my home city again and I'm looking forward to getting started in the squad."

Calvert-Lewin has been an important part of Aston Villa's side this season, helping them to reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup and reaching the Champions League final for the first time since 1997.

He has scored four goals in all competitions so far this season, including two hat-tricks against West Bromwich Albion and Fulham.

But it was his performance against Watford that earned him his first call-up to the England under-21s side, which will now help him establish himself in the team.

"It was a great feeling to score my first goal for the England under-21s," said Calvert-Lewin. "I'm grateful to be able to play in front of such a huge crowd and it was a special moment for me."

With Calvert-Lewin joining Everton, the club is hoping that he can continue to develop as a talented player and become a key member of the team.
