Rafael Leão is a Brazilian professional footballer who currently plays as a forward for Italian Serie A club AC Milan. He was born on September 14, 1995, in São Paulo, Brazil. Leão began his career with Santos FC in his native country before moving to Spain to play for Real Madrid C.F. and Barcelona Atlètic. In 2016, he signed with AC Milan from Barça, where he made his debut in Serie A against Bologna. In his first season with the Rossoneri, Leão scored 8 goals in 37 appearances across all competitions. However, he struggled to find regular game time under manager Gennaro Gattuso and was loaned out to Udinese for the 2017-18 season. In his second stint with Milan, Leão scored 11 goals in 35 games across all competitions. He also helped the team win the Coppa Italia in 2018, becoming the youngest player ever to score in a UEFA Champions League final. Despite his impressive performances, Leão has faced criticism for his inconsistent form and lack of consistency throughout his career. Despite this, he remains one of the most talented young forwards in Europe and is highly regarded by many fans and critics alike. |
